As the big brother of our successful Laterna parasol, the Fratello (Italian for ‘brother’ ) gains respect with its endless possibilities. The quality and durability of a parasol are largely determined by the quality of the cloth. The fade resistance of a cloth (by UV-radiation) depends on the way in which the yarn is dyed. In contrast to most polyester fabrics on the market, Solero cloths have been colored on a thread level before being woven. Think of the difference between a radish or carrot. Cut a carrot in half and you’ll see the same orange color all the way through. Our parasols are delivered with a label that guarantees a color guarantee for 4 years. rotating device 360°

The Fratello parasol comes with a solid aluminium rotating device with foot pedal, which allows you to rotate the canopy in 360°.

water column 300mm

A water column indicates how much water pressure a parasol cloth can handle without leaking. A 300 mm water column indicates that a cloth will start letting water through, once a pressure of more than a 30 cm column of water is applied to it.

UPF 50+

Solero parasol cloths form a great protection to harmful sun radiation. All our cloths filter the harmful UV-radiation entirely (100%), signified with a UPF 50+ factor.

300x300 cm square

The Fratello parasol comes with a cloth of 300*300 cm. Are you looking for a smaller or larger cantilever parasol? Check out our Cielo (260*260 cm.) or our Palestro parasol (400*400cm.)

canopy can be tilted sideways

The canopy of the Fratelllo parasol can be tilted sideways. With this additional option, the Fratello parasol offers you endless possibilities to utilize your exterior to the max.

without valance

The valance is the fabric strip at the bottom of the front of a sunscreen or parasol, often styled in the same pattern as the sunscreen. The word valance is historically associated with bed skirts, which could chill the undersides of beds. The Fratello cantilever parasol will be delivered without valance.

with wind vented roof

The wind vented roof ensures that the wind, which would otherwise lift the parasol, flows away naturally. It therefore adds stability to the parasol.

aluminium frame

The Solero parasol frames are made from high quality aluminium. Aluminium has a low weight and high strength. Moreover the material is corrosion resistant and recyclable.

frame in two parts

The frame of the Fratello parasol consists of two parts: the mast is locked in the aluminium tube. The parasol will take less space when it is stored. All dimensions are in our brochure, which can be found further down this page.

closing towards the mast

In addition to the contracting movement, the parasol also moves sideward so that the closed parasol rests against the mast. As a result, it takes up very little space when closed.

eight ribs

The ribs of a parasol are the ‘spokes’ on which the canvas is tensioned. A square parasol uses both long as short ribs; the long ribs connect the corners while the short ribs connect the short sides.

adjustable rib ends

The ribs of the Solero Fratello parasols are equipped with adjustable rib ends, ensuring the cloth to be kept tight.

cranking system

The Fratello parasol is easy to open and close by the cranking system, without having to use force.
