The parasols are available in several trendy shades and stand up tall in a summer rain for which we’ve treated them with a special water-repellent coating. The Futura parasols are also equipped with a wind stabilizer.

Specifications

with or without valance

The valance is the fabric strip at the bottom of the front of a sunscreen or parasol, often styled in the same pattern as the sunscreen. The word valance is historically associated with bed skirts, which could chill the undersides of beds. Bloemendaal will be delivered without valance. The colors natural, terra cotta and burgundy however will be delivered with a valance.

fade-resistant

The quality and durability of a parasol are largely determined by the quality of the cloth. The fade resistance of a cloth (by UV-radiation) depends on the way in which the yarn is dyed. In contrast to most polyester fabrics on the market, Solero cloths have been colored on a thread level before being woven. Think of the difference between a radish or carrot. Cut a carrot in half and you’ll see the same orange color all the way through. Our parasols are delivered with a label that guarantees a color guarantee for 4 years. water column 300mm

A water column indicates how much water pressure a parasol cloth can handle without leaking. A 300 mm water column indicates that a cloth will start letting water through, once a pressure of more than a 30 cm column of water is applied to it.

UPF 50+

Solero parasol cloths form a great protection to harmful sun radiation. All our cloths filter the harmful UV-radiation entirely (100%), signified with a UPF 50+ factor.

350x350, 300x400 or 400x400 cm

tiltable

The Bloemendaal cloth can be tilted to the mast. Do you also want to tilt the canvas sideways? In that case our Fratello parasol might be a good option for you.

rotating device

You can rotate the Bloemendaal canopy in 360°.

closing towards the mast

In addition to the contracting movement, the parasol also moves sideward so that the closed parasol rests against the mast. As a result, it takes up very little space when closed. You will find a similar parasol of this size on this page

aluminium frame 82x82mm

The Solero Bloemendaal frame is made from high quality aluminium. Aluminium has a low weight and high strength. Moreover the material is corrosion resistant and recyclable.

eight ribs

The ribs of a parasol are the ‘spokes’ on which the canvas is tensioned. A square parasol uses both long as short ribs; the long ribs connect the corners while the short ribs connect the short sides.

cranking system

The Bloemendaal parasol is easy to open and close by the cranking system, without having to use force.

protective cover (option)

Solero Bloemendaal is not supplied with a protective cover. You can order it as a separate article. To extend the life of your parasol, we always recommend using a cover.
